MONDAY, JUNE 3: DEPART

Depart Dallas Fort-Worth

TUESDAY, JUNE 4: ARRIVE - LISBON

After clearing customs/immigration we drive to the city of Lisbon, the capital of Portuguese culture, which embraces modernity whilst maintaining its unique heritage and traditions. Upon arrival in Lisbon we transfer to our hotel for check in and the first of our Portuguese dinners. Overnight Lisbon

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5: LISBON

After a buffet breakfast (served daily) we embark on a guided city tour of Lisbon including touring the UNESCO-listed San Jeronimo Monastery and Belém Tower, seeing the historic Alfama district and enjoying the sweeping views of Lisbon from the hilltop castle. After the tour we enjoy a chance to meet a local ensemble for an exchange and our first shared CONCERT follow by dinner. Overnight Lisbon

THURSDAY, JUNE 6: LISBON - ALGARVE COAST

Today we travel a short distance by bus along the Portuguese Algarve Coast, known for its Mediterranean beaches and golf resorts. Enjoy a guided tour of Faro, the capital of southern Portugal’s Algarve region. One of the features of the tour is seeing the city’s neoclassical Arco da Vila which was built on part of the original Moorish wall. This monumental archway leads to the old town with cobbled streets and the Faro Cathedral built in the 13th century. After the tour we check in and transfer to the venue for an exchange and CONCERT. FRIDAY, JUNE 7: GIBRALTAR

This morning we head to Gibraltar, a British overseas territory on Spain’s southern Mediterranean coast. It was first settled by the Moors in the Middle Ages, later ruled by Spain, then ceded to the British in 1713. Layers of fortifications include the remains of a 14th-century Moorish Castle and the 18th-century Great Siege Tunnels, which were expanded in WWII. Enjoy time to explore Gibraltar upon arrival before continuing to the hotel for check in. Overnight Gibraltar

SATURDAY, JUNE 8: TANGIER - RABAT

Board a ferry to Tangier, a Moroccan port on the Strait of Gibraltar, which has been a strategic gateway between Africa and Europe since Phoenician times. Its whitewashed hillside medina (old city) is home to the Dar el Makhzen, a palace of the sultans that is now a museum of Moroccan artifacts. Enjoy the exceptional views of the Strait of Gibraltar and the Atlantic Ocean with time to explore Tangier before continuing to the city of Rabat for check in. Overnight Rabat

SUNDAY, JUNE 9: RABAT

Enjoy a guided city tour of Rabat this morning passing by all the renowned landmarks such as the Mausoleum of King Mohammed V which is considered a masterpiece of Alaouite dynasty architecture housing the tombs of the King and two sons, the ancient human settlement of Chellah, the Kasbah des Oudaias, the Hassan Tower, the Medina of Rabat, the Royal Palace of Rabat and the Rabat Old Town. Following the tour we transfer to the venue for your CONCERT in Morocco. Overnight Rabat

MONDAY, JUNE 10: CASABLANCA

After a buffet breakfast we embark on an excursion to Casablanca, a port city and commercial hub in western Morocco. The city’s French colonial legacy is seen in its downtown Mauresque architecture, a blend of Moorish style and European art deco. Standing partly over the water, the enormous Hassan II Mosque, completed in 1993, boasts the world’s largest minaret. The minaret is 60 stories high and topped with a laser directed toward Mecca. We will also pass by the Habous District, the Royal Palace, and the Ain Diab Corniche with time to explore the Central Market and Casablanca before the option of an outreach CONCERT and returning to Rabat for dinner. TUESDAY, JUNE 11: RETURN HOME OR MARRAKESH

Enjoy a free day in Rabat before dinner and a transfer to Casablanca airport to return home (arriving DFW Friday, June 14) OR after a morning to explore Rabat, transfer to Marrakesh, a former imperial city in western Morocco, home to many mosques, palaces and gardens. Check into our hotel. Overnight Marrakesh

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12: MARRAKESH

Enjoy a day of guided touring to see all the major sites of this exotic city. Overnight Marrakesh

THURSDAY, JUNE 13: EXPLORE MARRAKESH

Free time to explore Marrakesh before transferring to Casablanca for our farewell dinner. Following dinner we transfer to Casablanca airport to travel back home

FRIDAY, JUNE 14: ARRIVE HOME
